AC Milan have confirmed the double signing of Riccardo Montolivo and Bakaye Traore.
The Rossoneri are on a mission to rebuild after conceding their Serie A crown to Juventus, and the signing of Montolivo in particular is a feather in their cap.
The 27-year-old midfielder enjoyed a successful seven-year stint at Fiorentina, during which time he played in the Champions League, and played for Italy at the last World Cup.
Fiorentina were desperate to convince Montolivo- whose contract was about to expire- to sign at least a one-year contract extension. But with his heart set on joining the Rossoneri, Montolivo broke off negotiations with the Viola months ago.
Montolivo has now passed a medical at the San Siro, and signed a four-year contract with AC Milan.
27-year-old Mali midfielder Traore has also signed a four-year deal after leaving French club Nancy as a free agent. Soccer Laduma
