Bafana Bafana started their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign on a low note, forcing a draw against Ethiopia last Sunday, on home soil. On Sunday South Africa continue with their road to Brazil when they travel to Gaborone to take on Botswana at the University Sports Stadium.
The players are well aware that they will have to improve on last weekend’s performance going forward and that they cannot afford to have any more slip-ups in their qualifying campaign.
Speaking to the Siya crew, the national team vice captain, Siphiwe ‘Shabba’ Tshabalala, said that their mission is to win all the remaining games of their qualifying campaign. The Kaizer Chiefs midfielder said that the players are looking forward and focusing on bagging the win in Botswana.
"We were not happy with the results on Sunday and we have to forget that as soon as possible and move on. We have to win in Botswana and have a go at the top spot. All is not yet lost as this was our first game and we still have five games to fight for and that is why am saying we have to win on Saturday in Botswana, by all means.
“The players have shown that they are professional and have remained positive despite the changes in the team. We have to remain positive and play to win in Botswana," Shabba expressed. Soccer-Laduma
